Amaryllis Paperie specializes in luxury wedding invitations with handmade touches that are completely unique to you. No two invitations are the same thanks to a one-on-one collaborative design experience.
We begin the process with an in-person or virtual consultation conversation. During this conversation, we want to learn all about your wedding vision and inspirations and discuss all the print techniques, specialty papers and embellishments we offer. We’ll show you samples and begin to discuss pricing. After this consultation, Haleigh will send you a personalized proposal incorporating all the details that were discussed.
After you pay a 50% deposit on your proposal, Haleigh will send you an informational questionnaire to begin with your designs. We kick off the design process for save the dates about a year in advance and invitations about six months out. You’ll receive design briefs for multiple fully crafted invitation designs and can mix and match elements within these designs and discuss edits with Haleigh until you are 100% happy with the custom wedding invitation design of your dreams.
After your design is finalized, it will be sent to print. We have close relationships with specialty print shops all over the country to achieve the best possible product. All printed items will come to the Amaryllis studio for a quality review and meticulous assembly. When your invitations are ready for your guests, they will all be shipped, handed off to you locally, or mailed directly to your guests. Depending on print techniques and the necessary assembly, please allow up to 2 months for the production process.
As each couple will have different needs and priorities, we do not have package pricing. Your quote will be tailor made to you and your distinct vision for your wedding stationery. You will receive a detailed proposal after your initial consultation with Haleigh which will outline print techniques, stock options and specialty add-ons. This proposal will always include the Amaryllis design fee, which starts at $1,000 and increases on a sliding scale to accommodate for a high level of customization and artwork development. The average client invests between $3,000 – $6,000 for custom wedding invitations and save the dates and $1,000 – $3,000 for coordinating wedding day details. We are also proud to offer calligraphy services for envelopes, escort cards or place cards as well as hand lettering for large format signage such as a mirror seating chart. Calligraphy services are reserved only for our full-service custom wedding clients.
The most cost effective printing method, digital printing offers full color range, perfect for very colorful illustrative designs. We offer digital printing on a wide array of stock options including double thick and colored papers.
Haleigh’s favorite print method, letterpress is an over 500 year old relief printing method which uses a printing press and printing plate created especially for each design. One by one, each card is passed through the press by hand, one time for every ink color. It creates a beautiful impression and works beautifully with cotton paper of all thicknesses.
Foil stamping uses a similar technique to letterpress but results in a metallic finish. A unique printing plate is also created for each imprint. It creates a slight relief in the paper and pairs well with digital printing or letterpress.
Engraving is a centuries old technique, often thought of as the finest printing method. A plate is created, then inked and pressed into a sheet of paper with intense pressure. The result is a raised design that can capture very fine details. Engraving can be done in any solid color or metallic ink on many different stock types.
